Usually, pubs just know what to do from guides or monkeying other pubs. As for the lack of any means for communication, I don't recall the last time I felt the need to communicate with pubs in the 140 hours I spent on the PC version of the game. The core experience from home console versions has been brought to the Switch with this adequate (and not great) port. If you love Payday 2 and wish to play it anywhere other than home, then you will probably have a blast with the port. In short, if you hate Payday 2, you'll really hate the Switch port. The game does have bugs and very rarely does get stuck on loading screens, but these issues were all solved with a simple and quick soft reset of the game. In my experience, Beneath the Sky was the only mission unpleasant to play through due to an overall low frame rate. Yes, there are occasional frame rate drops - how tolerable they are to you depends on how much you like the core gameplay. Yes, it isn't the prettiest game - it never was even back when it first launched. If you love Payday 2 to the extent of wanting to play it outside of your home, you'll have a great time with this imperfect port.
